What is a workshop?
A one-day workshop can introduce teach the critical components of a successful public policy campaign. You can choose from two-hour basic skill-building sessions, half-day seminars, and full-day advanced trainings.
What is covered?
Workshop participants analyze model campaigns and engage in lively interactive exercises to master the steps involved in organizing political action, including:
- Identifying and assessing potential policy opportunities
- Partnering with key stakeholders
- Developing persuasive campaign messages
- Mobilizing internal and external resources
- Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with state and regional policymakers
- Guidelines for designing and implementing community education efforts with both constituents and policymakers that are consistent with IRS lobbying guidelines for 501(c)3 non-profits.
Who is it for?
The Public Policy Institute workshops are available for non-profit organizations and coalitions that are currently running a public policy campaign, or thinking of initiating one.
