Real-life stories of immigrants affected by the loss of primary and preventive MassHealth coverage demonstrate to legislators, the media and the public that the loss of health care harms immigrants and ultimately the state's economy. These stories demonstrate the urgency of restoring funding for these programs in the state budget.

• Individuals who have lost their MassHealth and are legally residing adult immigrants ineligible for MassHealth Standard (federal Medicaid) because of immigration status and therefore received one of the state MassHealth programs, i.e. MassHealth Basic, MassHealth Common Health, or MassHealth Family Assistance. They are now only eligible for MassHealth Limited which is emergency care.
• Elderly and disabled legal immigrants were temporarily restored but may be terminated again in the next few months.
